This is more of a step down like one of the cheaper brands. Anyway, don’t expect a “typical” Marriott property. The lounge opens at 5:30 AM weekdays (it’s closed from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening) which meant we couldn’t get breakfast so Nancy found two yogurts for us. There were also bowls of bananas, oranges, green and red apples and the refrigerator was stocked with Pepsi brand canned sodas and small bottles of water. The 7:30 dessert was lemon bars, blackberries, grapes, strawberries and four kinds of cookies. Nancy constantly was cleaning up and replenishing. The evening spread consisted of two salads, roasted vegetables, mini hotdogs, cheeses, grapes and strawberries. Although the computer in the Concierge Lounge was out of order, Nancy was great. I was told I would get the bar soap, notepad and pen but they do not have robes.
I called down and asked for those in addition to a robe. This Marriott room did not have a notepad and pen/pencil and also did not have bar soap. Unbelievable! The TV clock was also one hour slow.
After our showers there was about a fourth of an inch of soapy water on the bathroom floor. Who designs these rooms with such narrow doorways and such low shower clearance? And,the shower leaked. Ouch!! And this was a newly renovated room. We are both over 6’ tall and I put a washcloth on the shower frame to prevent smacking our foreheads on this metal bar. And the shower frame is only 65” tall (5’5”!) from the shower floor. The bathroom has a 22” narrow doorway which caused both of us to enter the bathroom sideways. As Marriott Gold members we were “upgraded” to an executive queen room with two beds but the large picture window was totally foggy between the panes of glass. This was after checking two bags and going through TSA pre-check. We took the on-time 5 AM shuttle and we were sitting at our AA gate at 5:22 AM. It leaves starting at 4:20 AM every 20 minutes. The good news is is that the Marriott shuttle is great. My husband and I stayed here for one night since our flight left at 6:10 AM.
